“We see this foundation as an
extra support in further enhancing
sustainability of the help to
these vulnerable groups here
in Cochabamba.

When looking at the future, we
make sure to bring our
knowledge and experience and
share it with the local
colleagues in our network.”

Kikinpi Wiñay was founded in 2023
by Sem and Laurie. Together, they
can count on twelve years of
experience from managing a non-
profit organization in Cochabamba,
supporting children who have been
through violence, neglect, and abuse,
in processing traumas and breaking
behavioral patterns using methods
from creative therapy, among others.

By working together with, and training
local educators and social workers to
guide these children, Kikinpi Wiñay
intends to break the vicious cycles
of abuse and violence, while ensuring
a sustainable impact.

The board of Kikinpi Wiñay consists
of five passionate young women,
each with their own knowledge,
specialties and talents. Next to the
board, we work with a big group of
volunteers, most of them joining us
from Casa de la Alegría.
